Victim Support – How can I help?

The criminal justice system can be a frightening complicated experience whether you are accused of a criminal offence for the first time, or if you are the victim of a crime.

A whole series of acronyms and hearings that you may not fully understand, means navigating your way around a system fraught with lengthy delays, often leaving you with no idea what is happening behind the scenes.

As a defence solicitor, I am used to assisting a person accused of a crime in court but what about if you are the victim? Who helps you?

Free Initial Telephone Consultation

I understand that you will want to talk to me to find out how I can be of assistance and so I offer a free initial telephone consultation. Please call me on 07710 484 508 or email

Lack of support and communication in such an underfunded area means you are often in the dark as to what is likely to happen to the person who committed the offence of which you are the victim.

Victim support does exist via some charitable organisations that do a fabulous job, but I have noticed more enquiries that I am receiving from people requiring more. More support. More knowledge. More understanding of what is going to happen and when.

As a specialist criminal solicitor advocate with 25 years experience in the justice system I can help.

My role is and continues to be, representing people accused of committing crimes. I give them a voice and help them explain their side of the story in a concise manner.

This experience means that I have all of the information needed to guide you, as a victim, through what is going to happen to the person who committed the offence against you.

I can help you understand what their plea means. What happens if they are found not guilty? What if they plead guilty? What will happen to them? What type of sentence will they get?

I can give you the answers to these questions.

I will agree on a fee with you and can provide you with little, or as much, assistance and guidance as you require.

We can have an initial consultation where I can understand the position and then agree on a fee with you for the level of support and involvement you need, to help you through this difficult situation.
